HAMILTON, Bermuda, March 1, 2002 – At its regular meeting held on February 28, 2002, the Board of Directors of White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. declared a $1.00 per share annual dividend, payable in cash on March 27, 2002, to holders of Common Stock of record as of the close of business on March 18, 2002.

White Mountains is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol WTM.
