White Mountains Re Completes Sale of Sirius America to Investor Group Led by Lightyear Capital

HAMILTON, Bermuda, Aug 03, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- White Mountains Re Group, Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. (NYSE: WTM), today announced that it has completed its previously announced sale of its Sirius America subsidiary to an investor group led by Lightyear Capital LLC. White Mountains acquired an equity interest of approximately 17% in the acquiring entity.
